Welcome to Serendipity Island, where nobody goes looking for love and everybody finds it anyway — usually at the worst possible moment, surrounded by the most embarrassing people they know.
These books are lighter, funnier, and packed with the kind of family chaos that will make you grateful for your own relatives. (Or maybe not. You'll have to judge for yourself.) Each story stands on its own, but if you read all three, you might occasionally spot familiar faces doing what they do best — meddling.
One more thing. The island's name was no accident. I spent two days searching for the perfect word, and when I finally looked up "serendipity" in the dictionary, I knew I'd found it. The occurrence and development of events by chance in a happy or beneficial way. None of my heroes and heroines go looking for love. They're too busy living life, dealing with family, and trying to stay sane. But when love falls in their lap… well, you'll just have to read and find out.

Author Note: Paige Calhoun stole my heart the moment she showed up on the page — equal parts tough and terrified, with a teenage daughter who could out-con them all. This was the first Serendipity Island book I wrote, and the characters showed up so fast I could barely keep up with them. If you love a heroine who's smarter than she gives herself credit for and a hero who doesn't stand a chance, start here.

Author Note: When I wrote The Valentine Grinch, I had no idea that Amanda's sister Stephanie would demand her own book in Caught Between an Oops and a Hard Body. But she walked into my imagination, crossed her arms, and refused to leave until I told her story. I thought the book would be all about weddings and brides and all things nuptial. Turns out, "conception" had other plans. Some characters simply refuse to follow directions — and Stephanie is one of them.
An uptight accountant with too much guilt and not enough privacy, one reluctant hero who is about to lose his boat and his heart on the family cruise, naughty lingerie, meddling mothers, unexpected friendships, and a battle-of-the-sexes secondary romance.
Author Note: I used to be an accountant, playing with numbers and spreadsheets by day and writing romance novels by night. So it seemed natural that I would eventually write a book with a number-loving heroine. Marla and Reed popped into my imagination during a writing class, on one of those weeks when life felt unbearable and all I wanted was a bit of laughter, adventure, and romance. Or maybe I'd just watched too many Gilligan's Island reruns. Either way, these two got both the adventure and the love — along with a generous helping of family hijinks.
READING ORDER
Do I need to read them in order?
Nope. Each book is a complete love story with its own hero, heroine, and collection of beautifully impossible relatives. But if you read them in order, you'll catch little Easter eggs — characters from previous books wandering through, poking their noses into other people's business, generally making a nuisance of themselves. Just like real family.
